Most pictures on this website are taken with a Nikon D600 and a Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 lens or a Sigma 105mm f/2.8 macro lens. Before May 2014 pictures were taken with a Nikon D60 and Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 lens. A Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens has also been used with both cameras. Some of the pictures, especially those overseas, like the pictures from Greece, are taken with a Panasonic Lumix TZ200, or, since June 2025, with a Leica D-Lux 8. Before November 2018 they were taken with a Sony Cyber-shot RX100M3 and, before June 2015, a Canon Powershot G11.

Pictures are generally recorded in RAW. They are processed in Lightroom to bring out the best in the picture. I try to process as little as is necessary to get the picture near to how I saw the scene and what prompted me to take the photograph. They are then reduced from TIFFs to JPEGs to make the site more manageable.
